**2018 OUTDOOR PROGRAM INFORMATION**

 

    **DEVELOPMENTAL (HOUSE LEAGUE) GROUP INFORMATION**

PLEASE NOTE:  DEVELOPMENTAL (HOUSE LEAGUE) GROUPS WILL BE GENDER SPECIFIC ONLY IF WE HAVE ENOUGH REGISTRANTS TO MAKE BALANCED TEAMS WITH ADEQUATE COACHES.

 

UNDER 5    Kids born in 2013 and 2014 - WEDNESDAYS - 5:30 p.m. - Lucas Heights Fields - Fee $ 90.00

 

UNDER 7    Kids born in 2011 and 2012 - TUESDAY AND THURSDAY - 5:30 p.m. - Lucas Heights Field - Fee $120.00

 

UNDER 9     Kids born in 2009 and 2010 - MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY - 5:30 p.m. - Location T.B.A. - Fee $ 150.00

 

EQUIPMENT:   Cleats are not required for the Under 5 age group, but we strongly encourage parents/guardians to provide those for both U7 and U9.  We do play in wet/muddy conditions and the older kids benefit from the stability of proper footwear.   All players are required to wear soccer shinpads and socks to cover those shinpads.  Depending on the weather, you may wear shorts or long pants, as well as a long-sleeved shirt or hoodie underneath the uniform top.   A "Ponoka Storm" jersey or t-shirt will be issued to your child, which is theirs to keep (house league only).

SEASON LENGTH:  Provided our fields are ready to go, we anticipate starting the first full week of May and generally finish around the time that school is done.  Make up games are usually done on Sundays - that will be determined later.

**REGISTRATION FEE FOR ALL COMPETITIVE AGE GROUPS IS $200.00**

**YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A $50.00 JERSEY DEPOSIT FOR EACH COMPETITIVE PLAYER**

**ALL COMPETITIVE TEAMS WILL PARTICIPATE IN CENTRAL ALBERTA SOCCER'S TIER 4 LEAGUE - SCHEDULES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE END OF APRIL**

**TEAMS WILL PARTICIPATE IN TWO C.A.S.A. TOURNAMENTS:

                    SUNBREAKER - CAMROSE - MAY 4-6

                    PROVINCIAL QUALIFIER - LOCATION TO BE ANNOUNCED - JUNE 22-24

**COMPETITIVE TEAMS ARE GENDER SPECIFIC**

**ROSTER SIZES ARE A MAXIMUM OF 20 PLAYERS - NO EXCEPTIONS**

**PRACTICES/TRAINING SESSIONS ARE DECIDED UPON BY THE COACHING STAFF**

**ALL LEAGUE GAMES COMMENCE AT 7:00 P.M.**

UNDER 13    BOYS AND GIRLS BORN IN 2005 AND 2006 - GAME NIGHTS MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY

UNDER 15    BOYS AND GIRLS BORN IN 2003 AND 2004 - GAME NIGHTS TUESDAY AD THURSDAY

UNDER 17     BOYS AND GIRLS BORN IN 2001 AND 2002 - GAME NIGHTS MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY

UNDER 19    BOYS AND GIRLS BORN IN 1999 AND 2000 - GAME NIGHTS TO BE DETERMINED - LIKELY MONDAY                         AND WEDNESDAY

                      PLEASE NOTE:  KIDS BORN IN 1999 WHO HAVE BEEN ATTENDING COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY AND ARE RETURNING TO THEIR HOME COMMUNITIES FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS ARE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN BOTH LEAGUE PLAY AND AT PROVINCIALS.

 

**GENERAL INFORMATION FOR OUTDOOR REGISTRATION**

 

PAYMENT:    Unless otherwise arranged with our Registrar, payment is required at the time of registration.   On February 27, at our Registration night, we will have a "Square" available for electronic payment; we also take cash and cheques.  We understand budgetary restraints, so if you wish to give us post-dated cheques, we will accept those as long as all fees are paid by April 15.   IN addition to your registration fee, please bring a $50.00 Volunteer Bond payment (one per family) as well as a $5.00 membership fee (also one per family). 

 

VOLUNTEER BOND:   The Volunteer Bond is new for our outdoor season - bonds will be refunded to families when the season is completed, provided the required commitment has been satisfied.  Sign-up information will be available at our A.G.M. and Registration night on February 27.   If you register after February 27, your information will be given to our Volunteer Co-ordinator, who will contact you via email in order to give you the list of jobs you can choose from to fulfill this obligation.    

 

KIDSPORT AND JUMPSTART PROGRAMS:  We are excited that we have a KidSport Chapter in Ponoka once again!  KidSport and JumpStart are two programs which are available through an application process, to families who may require financial assistance for registration fees.   We will have forms available at our registration night - they need to be signed by our Registrar prior to submission.    Again, if you register late, you will need to contact our Registrar in order to arrange for those forms to be signed. 

 

RECEIPTS:  As per Revenue Canada Tax Law, we are no longer required to provide receipts for Tax Credits.  However, if you require a receipt for any reason, please either contact the Registrar via email, or make a note on your registration form asking for issuance of a receipt.   A receipt will then be prepared and emailed to you.
